Champions Sports Complex, Placentia, CA. - Something I really enjoy is finding out that friend’s kids play a sport and then dropping by for a shoot. That’s the case here with Rachel, who we’ve known since forever. I was already planning to shoot Natalie, so when I found out it was the same team I was really happy. YOU try scheduling 70 games in 10 weekends! When I got to the field I was shocked by the ugly jerseys. The worst. Maybe cute for a girls soccer team, but the stylizing I like to do to my photos doesn’t work well with orange or red... or SALMON! With the fading sun changing colors anyway, often the jerseys blended into a flesh looking color. I made it work with some masking. Yes, every photo. That’s why I get paid the big bucks dontcha know!
