Arroyo Park, Yorba Linda, CA. - I’ve shot a family friend here once before, maybe three years ago. At that time I had no aspirations of doing this as a job... funny how things happen. This game was on a field that was being hit by some big dark early morning shadows. At first I tried to adjust when the action was in them, but it was too difficult. I’d miss shots adjusting and then miss again when the action went back in the sunshine. I decided to just favor the sunny 80% of the field and stress less. My main target Georgia was sick on this morning, played the first quarter then bundled up for the remainder. That wasn’t doing me much good since her team had their backs to the sun in the first half. Well, I had a big grin as Georgia sucked it up and went back out for a good chunk of the third quarter! She knew I was there for her, no doubt. I may have over stocked this gallery, there’s 175 photos. I probably could have tossed out 30-40 marginal pics, but when they’re of your kid you’d like to see them all.
