Travis Ranch Park. I watched these Blaze girls play a few weeks ago and win the JUSA Friendship Tournament. When Coach Brandy told me they’d be back in the area for another tournament, I was hoping my schedule would let me shoot them again. The girls dominated the first two games, scraped out a third win and then won the whole thing on Sunday. After the third quarter had ended, I handed a few Sloppy’s Sample Cards to a Hoops coach. He says, “Oh, you’re the one with the funny name, right?” Maybe I thought, but how would he know? I don’t even know where his team is based... still don’t. Then he turned over my sample and said, “Yeah, Sloppy’s Garage. Love it.” I don’t know how he’d heard of me, I just know I felt like I was making progress again. When I take 2000 pictures on a weekend, spend the next week cleaning, cropping, and posting them all, sometimes I feel like I’m spinning my wheels. So that was my highlight for Saturday.
